Our Founder
Michael Leshchiner is the Founder and Principal of LMentary Engineering, driven by a passion for clean technology and renewable energy, with over two decades of experience in the field. He has held key roles at a solar bio-fuels startup, an energy storage company, and multiple fuel cell startups, including co-founding one. LMentary marks his third venture as a founder/co-founder.
With a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and reaction engineering, Michael is an expert in designing heat exchangers, burners, and chemical and bio-reactors. He has contributed to the design and analysis of systems featuring various prime mover options and advanced power cycles, such as fuel cells, batteries, internal combustion engines, gas turbines and compressors, and combined heat and power systems.
Michael also brings extensive business and management experience to the table. He has been involved in assessing novel and competing technologies, strategic planning, and has a proven track record in technology and product development.
Michael holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Ukraine Institute of Technology and a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
